Will New Technology from Arccos Improve Your Game?

Golfers tend to think they have a pretty good idea of where our strengths and weaknesses on the golf course lie. I would always say that my long iron cost me the most shots, but my play around the greens saved me some of those back. But a few rounds with Arccos trackers on your clubs (that go in the butt of the grip) will pretty much guarantee surprise, confusion and even horror at where your game could go with a few changes!

The Arccos tracking system has been helping golfers to understand their games for a few years. This week the tech company will take another leap forward, launching the most intelligent virtual caddie you could imagine.

Using the data they collect from their trackers,  Arccos is harnessing their collaboration with Microsoft to help users make informed suggestions of what shots to hit, based on the course you are playing, and the distances and shapes your clubs usually get.

Some will complain that adding even more technology to golf is changing the game beyond recognition. On the other hand, this kind of technology gives us golfers a reason to practice, and helps us to improve our scores on the course, which undoubtedly keeps us coming back for more.

"Of course it's entirely up to you if you want to listen to the caddie. "
